Camp Overview:
Our volleyball camp is a high-intensity, skill-focused, and development-driven program tailored for athletes who want to stand out on the court—whether you’re preparing for high school varsity, club competition, or a collegiate career. This is not a basic skills camp. This is where serious athletes come to separate themselves from the pack while having fun!
Camp Philosophy:
We believe in a player-centric approach: every athlete has different strengths, challenges, and goals. Our mission is to sharpen those strengths, eliminate inefficiencies, and build high-IQ, high-performance volleyball players. This camp is built around elite skill refinement, strategic understanding, mental toughness, and leadership development.
Core Pillars of the Camp:
- Technical Mastery
We break down every fundamental and refine it with precision. This includes:
- Serving: Power serving, jump float & top-spin techniques, serve accuracy under pressure
- Passing & Serve Receive: Platform control, footwork patterns, reading spin and trajectory
- Setting: Hand shape, release timing, tempo setting, decision-making under stress
- Hitting & Attacking: Arm swing mechanics, shot variety, reading blockers, offensive IQ
- Blocking & Defense: Penetration, timing, eye sequencing, defensive range and recoveries
- Advanced Systems Training
We teach athletes to thrive in team systems:
- 5-1 and 6-2 systems mastery
- Offensive tempo and spacing
- Defensive rotations and transitions
- Reading and disrupting opponents’ systems
- Communication and role clarity
- Game IQ & Decision-Making
We instill a deep understanding of the game:
- Reading the court, anticipating plays
- Situational drills and live-game scenarios
- Learning to adjust tactics mid-game
- Athletic Performance & Conditioning
Volleyball-specific performance training:
- Jump training (approach, block, and landing mechanics)
- Core stability and explosive footwork
- Injury prevention, mobility and recovery strategies
- Position-specific conditioning
- Mental & Leadership Training
Mental sharpness is non-negotiable at the top levels:
- Building competitive confidence
- Pressure simulation drills and mental focus
- Leadership training (on-court presence, team dynamics)
Camp Format & Structure:
- Length: June 1 to August 14.
- 1 session per week (14UG/15UG)
- 2 sessions per week (16UG/17UG/18UG)
- Sessions are 3 hours in length. Mondays and Wednesdays (16UG/17UG/18UG), Fridays (14UG/16UG). 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
- Location: The Shark Tank (2182 Spitfire Road, London, ON)
- Coaching Staff: Certified and experienced coaches, certified trainers, guest players
- Ratio: Smaller Groups providing greater elite level attention
- Age Groups: 13–18 years (grouped by skill and competitive level)
- Assessment: Pre-camp player evaluation and post-camp development plan along with measurements testing.
